Our Mission

…it’s so simple. We want to ride! We want to support and enhance the sportbike life and community. We want to bring our passion to the streets, to the track, and to the lives of other sportbike enthusiasts. Metric Maniacs is dedicated exclusively to sportbikes…to the life, machinery, products, news, and events that make sportbikes the most fun you can have on two wheels. We’re here for you and to make this your one-stop shop for everything sportbike. The team…

Nathan Leach, Founder & CEO

Nathan Leach, aka “Natedog”, has been riding motorcycles since he was 9 years old. His most recent bike is a 2015 BMW S1000RR, which he puts about 10-12k miles per year on. Not bad for living in Maine. He’s made solo rides from Maine to Tennessee to visit the Tail of the Dragon, to Florida for Biketoberfest, and to North Carolina for a weeklong work meeting (because it’s more fun than flying). There’s also been plenty of group riding with local, like-minded sportbike riders, track days at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, and charity rides to raise money for local organizations.

TJ, Service Tech

TJ grew up riding dirt bikes in Georgia and Maine. He’s had his motorcycle endorsement since early 2017, after taking the two-day Maine license course. His first street bike was an ’82 Honda XL500R, but after his first ride on a sportbike the old XL didn’t get much love. He moved on to a 2000 Kawasaki ZX9R streetfighter, while waiting patiently waiting for the next upgrade. Now, he’s riding a 2006 Yamaha FZ-1.

TJ has been working on motorcycles and everything else since he was a boy. He brings attention to detail, passion for riding, and lots of knowledge to the table here at Metrics. We’re lucky to have him.
